Insulated Concrete Form (ICF) pools
Standard concrete pools lose warmth directly into damp Island ground. Our ICF pools use double-layer expanded polystyrene blocks filled with reinforced concrete, providing continuous R-22 insulation.

Sized roughly 10'×16' to 12'×24' for properties in Oak Bay, Fairfield, and Saanich where lot-coverage bylaws are strict. Plunge pools offer soaking, cooling off, and entertaining without consuming the whole yard.

Excavation blasting can add significant cost before the pool even begins. We use engineered rock-anchored semi-inground designs to save time and budget.
The Greater Victoria bedrock dilemma
Basalt and granite shelves run close to the surface across Oak Bay, Bear Mountain, and Saanich. Standard builders dig deep pits that demand hydraulic hammer attachments or municipal blasting permits.
Our approach: we strip the topsoil, map the rock contour, and drill structural rebar dowels directly into the bedrock with high-strength epoxy — so the pool rests on an immovable geological footing.
Why semi-inground outperforms full blasting
Predictable budgets: avoids open-ended rock-hammering rental fees.
Natural retaining structure: the reinforced wall doubles as a retaining barrier for sloped yards.
Built-in seating: a rim rising 18–24" above patio grade becomes casual perimeter seating.
